1. Will you be looking for a new job? I don't think so. It's in The Plan, but not this year. I'm waiting to be more marketable.
2. Will you be looking for a new relationship? Nah. I'm pretty good with the one I have. I mean, it's possible we could add on somebody else, but there's no more room in the house. Unless they don't have any stuff.
3. New house? Probably not. Of course, we could decide to move to a small villa in the south of France, become monks, and grow lavender, raise angora rabbits, and brew weird monk beer, but it's pretty unlikely.
4. What will you do different in 2007? Any number of things, I imagine. It's my usual process.
5. New Years resolution? Be more engaged with life in general. Reduce passivity and indifference.
6. What will you not be doing in 2007? Worrying about what I should not be doing in 2007.
7. Any trips planned? St. Louis in January to do a workshop, Dallas in May to do a class, Atlanta in September for DragonCon. Maybe Denver somewhere in there. We owe some people a visit.
8. Wedding plans? Sadly, no.
9. What's on your calendar? Everything I have to do for the next year. It is a sign of what is wrong with our world that our calendar already has obligations in it for almost every month of 2007.
10. What can't you wait for? I have the concentration of a Buddhist monk and the patience that comes with a lack of endocrine system. I can wait for anything.
11. What would you like to see happen different? I'd like to see some major changes in the political direction of the US. I'd also like to see someone come out with a flavored, carbonated, caffienated water with no sweeteners. And also, it would be nice to manage my time differently so that I have a little more useful downtime.
12. What about yourself will you be changing? I will probably continue to expand my walking habits, and try to add some more effective organizational systems than "I know where it is in this pile".
13. What happened in '06 that you didn't think would ever happen? I got a job with a company that it will be extremely difficult to have sold out from under me. Not like the last three companies.
14. Will you be nicer to the people you care about? I hope I'm pretty nice to them now.
15. Will you dress differently this year than you did in 06? Not really. I've been working the "I got it from the thrift store for $3 and it's clean and it fits" aesthetic for several years now, and I feel generally okay to continue with it.
16. Will you start or quit drinking? Nope. I'm perfectly happy with my relationship to alcohol.
17. Will you have better relationship with your family? The blood relatives? I doubt it. The chosen family? I hope so, but I tend to think most of those relationships are okay now.
18. Will you do charity work? Ha. Ha. Ha. My whole life is charity work.
19. Will you go to bars? Upon occasion.
20. Will you be nice to people you don't know? Unless I meet them in a moment where they are being total dicks, sure. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.
21. Do you expect 2007 to be a good year for you? Yes, actually. Things are generally looking up.
22. How much did you change from this time last year til now? Probably not much. They tell me at home that I'm predictable.
23. Do you plan on having a child? Hell, no.
24. Will you still be friends with the same people you are friends with now? Mostly. I like them, you know.
25. Major lifestyle changes? Nah. Just some tweaking here and there. Of course, my base "lifestyle" can best be expressed by "Hey guys! What's going on? What's that? It looks shiny, can I play with it?", so that may not mean much.
26. Will you be moving? Probably not. Unless that south of France thing works out.
27. What will you make sure doesn't happen in 2007 that happened in 06? Most of the bad shit that happened in 06 was things that other people decided to do to each other. I will certainly advise people not to do bad shit to each other in 2007, but I did that in 06 too, and it doesn't seem to have much effect.
28. What are your New Years Eve plans? Haven't got any. Was thinking of going to a costume party, but after last week's trip, we may have had Enough of Other People and stay home and watch movies instead.
29. Will you have someone to kiss at midnight? Almost certainly.
