As it turns out, I have a new job. Yesterday, the new job was really slow, but today it's really busy (which is good), so I'm grabbing 10 minutes at lunch to post all the things I wanted to post the last few days...

1. Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] kcwitch! Hope you have a great one, and that you melted into a small puddle of purple goo at the show last night.

2. Validate me! Take my FriendTest.

3. I dreamed last night that I came home from having been gone for several days, and in my absence, [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants had been killed in a car wreck. [livejournal.com profile] triadruid and I were predictably distraught. I was particularly distraught, because I could still see and talk to her, even though I was the only one. She said that it was not bad being dead, as you could do a lot of things that you couldn't do when you were alive, but that it was kind of cold, and nobody would talk to you, and there were a lot of things you couldn't touch. She was sort of trying to decide whether to stick around and be a ghost, or whether to move on to the next thing. Eventually, she decided to have a funeral (I had to translate for her). It was held at Gaia, [livejournal.com profile] biscuitgod presiding. She and I went shopping for a shroud, which was green and covered with interesting knotwork. At the funeral, the space was strange, with a circle set up, except that West was really far outside of where a normal circle would put it, as if the space were a sphere with a cone attached in the West. I don't know if that was supposed to symbolize the long journey to the land of the dead, or what. Anyway, apparently these events took place some time after the wedding, as the wedding license and all that stuff were in the papers [livejournal.com profile] triadruid and I had to go through. She wanted me to marry [livejournal.com profile] triadruid since she was gone. I told her I would think about it, because where I come from, marrying your mistress is the pinnacle of tacky, but requests from dead relatives are pretty honorable.
So that was fun. I did get a decent amount of sleep last night, but all with the nightmare, so I'm not sure how much it helped.

Anyway, love you all, back to work.

Gratz on the Job! Money is a good thing ... hopefully it is doing something you consider worthwhile also (that whole validate my existance thing).

You are ROCKIN' on the friend tests. Scoring well on everybody's ... The less said about how I scored on yours, the better.

Possible reasons:

1) As a student of behavior (psychology) you can often glean the answer a person would want to have chosen for the question ...

2) All those times when you are around, but being fairly quiet ... you are listening very carefully and I really ought to be more careful with what I say :-)

3) Durn lucky

4) all of the above

My guess is maybe a tiny bit of 1, but almost entirely 2.

On the dreams ... dang, yours are at least as bizarre as mine ... and mine aren't exactly pedestrian. Do you also wake up, a touch confused as to what is real and what is dream, and find yourself later in the day thinking of something in the dream as if it really happened? Or is that my own personal weirdness?

Congrats on the new job! Money is god...I mean, good. Loved reading your dream. Makes the Jungian-geek in me drool.

Yay! My score didn't completely suck!

The "which fictional planet" was rough. There wasn't an option for "a combination of 2, 4, and 5". I mean, riding lions in color-shifting acid deserts to get to pirate ships that with the aid of pixie dust fly through dimensional doorways to lands filled with bizzare gnomish steampunk thingys that go "hiss...gronk...BOOM!".

But now we're talking about my dreams, eh?

Glad things picked up today. I was going to have to send you something to keep you busy, otherwise.

You're right. That *would* be cooler.

(And I'm so glad you're not dead)

Not dead yet!

Yeah, but you don't go "out of town for several days" until this weekend....remind me to have [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants put on her seatbelt, if we go out at all...

Yeah. So could you, like, stay over at [livejournal.com profile] chaosdruid's or something? It would make me feel a lot better.

Right; no more Red Lobster after 10.

Dream hell last night, apparently....

I took your stupid little quiz; am I not nifty? I'm still trying to figure out where I out-psyched you on mine...thought you'd get more right than that.

Where you out-psyched me

Actually, I'm willing to bet that most of the ones I didn't get were questions that began with "How many..." I actually do know the answers to most of those, but I was in a hurry, so I just guessed estimated.

The "how many"s probably killed me too. I mean, come on.... NUMBERS?

Math is hard. Let's go shopping!

Actually, I'd like to amend that to "no dinner after 10". But that may have as much to do with my recent desire to go to bed at a reasonable hour than with the nightmares.

I'm working for a PR firm. As to what I do, my title is Administrative Coordinator, but they hired me to be an accountant, but so far, I've mostly been doing research for media buys. So I'm not sure what I do yet. :)

Congrats on the job. I, also, am curious where it is.

Took the quiz, and my score was embarrassingly low, so i did not take the steps to get the score posted. My tail is between my legs.

Congrats on Job

Hey great news about the job. As for the dream... not a "good" dream by any means, but not as bad as could have been... I just wish I had your ability to remember my dreams. I have fuzzy memories and a vague feeling of "good" or "bad" but not much else.

I'd love to "validate" you by taking your test, but it seems to have become non-existant. Oh well, I'm sure my score would have been pretty poor, but would still have been interesting to take.

Yeah, I took it down. Based on something Mac said in some other thread about the friends test, I thought of another set of questions I want to ask. (Tee Hee Hee) I'll put up my new one probably some time next week.
