Better than a sharp stick in the eye

I got a temp job! It's an accountant job for a machine works out in the middle of nowhere. I'm feeling a little Dead Man about this, really.

Anyway, the money is quite a bit below what I'd ask for in a permanent job, but for it to be something to do for a couple weeks until one of the other companies I'm courting to get their collective head out of their collective ass, it's okay. I'll be making more than the unemployment check I just filed for, so that's good. And, if something better comes along, I can walk.

So I start tomorrow this week, sometime. I'm bringing my own tobacco.
