The Search Continues

Here at the EHQ laboratory, we have yet to produce a drink worthy of the name Pan Indo-European Gargleblaster, but we did manage to come up with a number of other tasty alcoholic beverages in our search. We have, of course, applied our own names to these concoctions. It is possible that they are already standard drinks out there somewhere, with other, less entertaining names, but hey. It's our house, and it's our bar, and we'll call the things what we like.

Anyway, here is a sampling of drinks mixed at EHQ of late. Many of them involve Barenjager. Comments are sought.


Brigid's Milk
- Equal parts Barenjager, vanilla vodka, and milk.
- Splash Frangelico
- Splash Jameson's Irish Whiskey (optional)
Mix in a highball. If using whiskey, drink quickly.
Comments: "Warm and cuddly like a wooly blanket." "More or less like licking a sheep." "Better with whiskey."



Mauled by a Bear
- 1/2 Jameson
- 1/2 Barenjager
Mix in a shot glass. Sip or shoot.
Comments: "Religious." "Do not under any circumstances get tempted to add Chambord."



The Dixie Belle
- 2 parts vanilla vodka
- 2 parts Jura Superstition whisky
- 1 part Chambord
- 1 part Barenjager
- a few drops of lemon juice
Serve over ice.
Comments: "A little like raspberry edible underwear, after you've been dancing all night in leather pants." "Yeah, there's whisky in that." "Hey! Don't use my Superstition as a mixer! Drink that shit straight!"



- 1 part gin
- 1 part Barenjager
- 1 part Frangelico
- 1 part Irish Cream
- 1 part Chambord
Comments: "It's not a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick at all. It's a peanut butter and jelly sandwich wrapped around a stout oaken cudgel." "Sweet, but chunky." "That makes my tongue go numb. Perhaps I shouldn't be drinking gin."
