1. featherynscale is a now a character on Red Dwarf. What is it, and what does it do?
It's a subversive robot who tries to get Kryten to devote his processing power and ability to add attachments to bizarre performance art projects. It probably would have previously been in charge of morale somewhere. Or disinformation. If that's not the same thing.

2. What is your least favorite kind of pie?
Cherry. Followed closely by mincemeat.

3. What are three songs that would be on the soundtrack of the movie of your life?
Three from the Dresden Dolls: Girl Anachronism, Half Jack, and Perfect Fit. Not that the soundtrack would be exclusively Dresden Dolls, but that's what's in the brain right at the moment.

4. What was the first fantasy series you got into?
I had a series of children's books called Serendipity that used dragons and other mythical beasts to teach ethical lessons. I read them from age 3 to age 5. I think that was my first fantasy series, then Narnia, then Lord of the Rings and Susan Cooper's The Dark Is Rising. That covers me from 3 to 11, I think :)

5. You have been required to go back for a Masters degree. The only choice is your course of study. What do you choose?
For practical purposes, business administration, heavy in finance. For my own amusement, psychology, heavy in cognitive psych.
