Found a better button source - about the same price, but better quality.
So I'm thinking shortly, I'll be ordering some fun stuff... So far, I'm thinking of some of these (as suggested by prev. conversations)

- I'm with the Cabal
- Proud Member of the Shadow Meritocracy
- Up Your Vulva with Gynocentrism (or possibly Gynocracy...what do you think?)
- I Fuck Smart People
- Just Flirting
- Keep Moving

I know there were other things that I've said "Yep, put that on the button list" about in the past week, maybe they will spring back to mind later. Anybody want any of these, or am I just being dumb?

Once again, I give thanks that M&Ms didn't actually fly out my nose. But they do leave brightly colored dots on the screen when I spit them out.

I recommend that you switch to the Minis... they're less likely to do damage when propelled through the sinus cavities.

Good advice.

I'm sure the management will support my petition to put M&M Minis in the vending machine for exactly that reason.

Please put me down for at least one of each button.

I'm partial

Heck, I want one of each. Here are more:

"YES ...but not with you"
"What Would Natural Selection Do?"
"The SEASON is the REASON"
"Executive Transvestite"
"Why Not Excellence?"
"HEDONISM NOW!"
"Pervy Hobbit Fancier"
"Don't make me light you on fire."

I wasn't sure whether the "I guess" bit added or not... it's funnier to those who have heard Jeff say it, for certain.

I'd amend this to "What Would Darwin Do," but you can count on my buying as many of these things as I can afford.

I'd stick with natural selection.

Ah yes! "Don't make me light you on fire" - that was one I'd forgotten.

You can get "Hedonism Now" from UnAmerican (http://www.unamerican.com), which is an enterprise that I fully support, and I don't want to duplicate his thing. Also, I'm reasonably certain I've seen "Yes, but not with you" somewhere.... think me, think me.

I'm thinking "gynocentrism" has an easier ring to it, plus it could be taken 'seriously' by some. Added bonus.

Which reminds me, I actually saw a van yesterday with a bumper sticker that read:

Earth First!
We'll strip-mine the other planets later.

I Fuck Smart People seems to be a definate winner ...

This might be a bad/good time to mention I scored 1500 on my SATs

On the "Keep Moving" ... I keep wanting to add "Merge Later" to that, but it really takes on a different meaning, especially when combined with the "I Fuck Smart People" ... bizarre synergy there.

Well, since I'm noticing most of the support for the "I fuck smart people" theme is coming from women, I'm guessing it's 'cause you're straight.

(Anyway, I'm the dumb one in the group, apparently. I scored 1480.)

Yeah - "Keep Moving, Merge Later" is my preferred schtick, but again, I'm reducing specificity for perceived wider appeal... *shrug*. Also, they're 1" buttons, which encourages brevity.

Do you get to do images, or only text? What are the parameters we're working with here?

"Keep Moving" is pretty arcane: "KM-ML" is okay, but if you can get them to actually put the sign format on there (like your icon), then it becomes easily understandable. IMHO.

From: [identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com
Images, text, whatever, apparently - they're doing a process print, so everything uses three colors regardless. It's just gotta fit in a 1" button (Cause 1.5" buttons are hella more expensive, and I'm cheap.)

I like the "what would natual selection do?" much better than the darwin thing... but I don't wear buttons.

I like the idea I had for a Bill once, "Kreb's cycle, If you don't get it, you don't get it." Which would have been an initiative similar to current gun control. If you ever do anything stupid, you are not allowed to consume, carry, or be associated with ethanol. I figure if you have to hit enough books to understand Kreb's cycle, you would a) increase the general intelligence of high school children, and b) ruin some of the coolness aspect. During botany at Longview I got the instructor to spew Sprite when I determined that alcohol was yeast poo (it is the waste product of their consumption)

Of course that won't fit on a button. How about "Ent Porn Connoisseur"? Or add the odd race of your choice.

Ok, finge porn again... damn if I'm not predictable.

So you are only uber-analytical with english and not with other college subjects? I figured you to be one of the ones who would -get- organic chemistry. ;-)

Or was it the reference to yeast poo?

Krebs is the one that chages adenosine triphosphate into adenosine diphosphate, or something like that, right? Want to make sure I'm remembering the right thing.

Anyway, I got most of o-chem in college, but we didn't do Krebs cycle there. Krebs was in cell bio, which I took my freshman year of high school -- before I had taken any chemistry. I didn't have the necessary knowledge base, so it made absolutely no sense. It was the first class I got a C in from lack of understanding rather than lack of effort.

Kreb's cycle is where fungi turn sugar into carbon dioxide and ethanol. It is the technical term for fermentation. Additionally, if there is stray oxygen, the ethanol turns into acetic acid (vinagar). This is the purpose for fermentation locks. ;-)

how about...

That is so very, very wrong.

Reminds me of the shirt I saw the other day. All blank t-shirt, small lettering near the bottom hem on the front:

"IF YOU'RE ALREADY THIS CLOSE, WHY DON'T YOU JUST SUCK MY DICK?"

1) They've got a female version too, I just can't remember it off the top of my head, and the site is blocked as 'Hate Speech' (possibly for having the word Hell in the url, who knows...)

2) They have much, much worse shirts.

I'll post the URL later when we're all safely at home, maybe. :)

Awful - NOT kidsafe in the slightest, but hilarious.

Hothouse Chaos. I like it. I recieved a sign today in favor of chaos, while I was at the mall. Inexplicably, in a store full of faux-country kitsch, I encountered a leftover Winter Holydaze ornament that was a faux-country chaostar. For $1.55, She could not be denied. I bought it, and I consider it an omen. Or something.
