I was looking forward to this not having a job thing. Thinking, "Oh, great, I'll have time to do all the things I want to do and never have time to, etc." Ha. Since I'm at home all the damned time now, the list of things I want to do, or have the necessary inspiration to do has gotten really really short, and none of the things on it are even at all productive.

I did manage to re-start my daily ritual practice, which is good. It's kind of like going back to the gym after a long time away - by the time I'm done with the sequence, which is short, I'm exhausted. Really, that's been it though.

I'm going to try to do something at least vaguely useful tomorrow. I don't know what it's going to be, but I'm really not going to sit around and read and play Diablo. I swear to the gods, I'm not.

You used to be the Mistress of Slack

Seriously, though. I think the others are right, you're used to having 7 million things going on (especially the last 6 months, with Adult Ed). Now you've got 9-10 more hours five days a week, and 6-8 hours on the front part of the week from not planning a class, and... it'd be enough to overwhelm anybody's busy schedule.

Today's Wednesday, if you want to get brave and bold and go take recycling over to K-Mart on Bannister... I think they open at 11am.

Oh and despite the monkey, the dog is bored to death. I fear he may do something...striking soon.

You could always arrange a visit (at your place or ours) with [livejournal.com profile] agrnmn for a double-dose of doggie chaos and Stunt Dragons and Anime Coatls and such...

Check in with iron_clad he's done with class at 12:30pm and may be up for some doggie fun... There is a John Party this Friday and we are spending the afternoon gathering costume bits.. It's "Come as your favorite/patron god/goddess" So...much more gold body paint is required. ; ) You are welcome to join us on our outing to U.S. Toy this afternoon. I'll be at work till then - feel free to call.

If it matters, we seem to have quite a bit of the water-soluble gold body paint left over from Eye of Ra - we could maybe even help you apply it if necessary. :)

See, the thing about Slack is that the art of it is finding it where it shouldn't exist. This is an embarrasment of slack - there's just slack lying around everywhere. No art, no sport to that.

I will take the recycling over - where exactly am I going?

K-Mart parking lot, over across the street (south side) from Red Lobster/Bannister Mall/etc.

Take I-435 around the curve north, get off on Bannister Rd. Go east, and just stay in that eastmost lane until you see K-Mart.

There's some big flattened boxes in the garage if you think you've got room, otherwise we'll manage them with the hatchback at some point. Since they started closing at 5:30 I can't get there after work like I used to.

Donkey shorts.
