Snuffleupagus is a mammoth. Not an anteater.
Some other things I discovered about Snuffleupagus in the course of my research:
- He's a Leo
- He has a grandmother, who lives in Cincinnati, Ohio.

yes and he goes to visit grandma in ohio for christmas. so big bird was really sad when elmo made a wish that it would be christmas every day because as long as it was snuffy was never coming home. also when snuffy was "born" on sesame street. the only person who could see him was big bird. it gave big bird a really bad complex cuz everyone was telling him that snuffy wasn't real. i guess the yoke was on them.
