It's just a thing. I have a lot of chemical sensitivity problems with cold meds, as chaosdruid and I were discussing the other day - I made the grievous mistake of taking something with pseudoephedrine (hits me like ecstasy) and anithistamines (drops me like a rock to the temple), and then trying to stay awake. As I think I've posted here before, it's like being a narcoleptic 16 year old boy - I'm pretty sure I'd screw anything that moved, if only I thought I could stay awake long enough. Hence, I went back to bed - it's a lot easier to sleep on that combo than to stay awake.
