Future Flauntage

kcwitch was telling me the other day (yesterday? the day before?) that I needed to do a pirate flaunt for my birthday party this year... But if we're going to do pirates again, it will probably be in September. I didn't want to give up the flaunt idea though, so I took it home to kittenpants, and lo, I asked her, "What should the theme be for my birthday flaunt?" And verily, she answered without hesitation: "Festival of Eyeliner". And thus it was decreed that on or around my birthday, there should be a flaunt in which costumery shall be free-formed, so long as it included copious amounts of eyeliner, and that the flaunters could be goths, pirates, drag queens, men of Khand, or whatever else should be agreeable to them. And it was a good plan.

See, and I'm planning way in advance. Everyone should come. I'll even send out invitations and all that stuff. (Can you send an eyeliner pencil through the post? That might be fun.)

Oooh. More good plan-ness. You're so very clever. Samples would be perfect - I bet that wouldn't cause nearly so many problems in the mail as the full-size.

post office regs

You can mail damn near anything if you're willing to pay the postage. Since you've got lots of time, I'd suggest coming up with a sample of the package you really want to mail, bringing it to the post office and asking them for advice. They actually have a marvelous sense of humor and can be good problem-solving partners when you give them a chance.
