Oaths, challenges, resolutions, and other obligations

To ritual teams: Become a resource for ritual material. Memorize as many songs, invocations, ritual patterns, etc as possible, and know where to get more.
Doing pretty well on this, I think. I'm keeping a small notebook of bits that I capture and/or create as I wander about. My library is expanding, and I had to learn so many stories in order to reasonably execute my part of adult ed this year that I think I'm on the right track on this one. Expires: Next ritual teams dedication.

To Lugh: Learn three new skills. So far, since taking this oath, I've learned to make T-tunics (in my size and in monkey size). I've made a lame-ass attempt to learn to crochet, but could do a bit more on that. I think that's all though, so work continues. Expires: Lughnassadh.

To the dwarves/earth elementals: Give up smoking entirely. Check. If I could get someone to take the remainder of my last pack of cloves off my hands, I'd consider that more or less done. Expires: Never.

To myself: Finish 50bookchallenge. Not gonna happen. I've read 34 books since I started (36 if you count new gaming manuals, but I'm not). However, I did only give myself 6 months instead of a year, so 34 in six months is not so bad. I'm going to do it again next year. Expires: Dec. 31.

To the gods and everybody: Try new things, even if I don't know how well they'll come out - accept failure as well as success. Be not neophobic. Er....Check. Expires: Dec 31, but likely to be extended.

To myself: Stop drinking for 30 days, beginning Jan 1.

I think that's all, but this post may be updated as I remember more.

I just have to respect the fact that you can at least keep track of them and are on your way to completing them. The first thing I need to do is to pare mine down to 'doable' instead of 'completely insane'. After that I'll set deadlines...

Hey, I'm part gnome, after all. And gnomes are *like* gremlins - The difficult we do right away, the impossible takes a little longer.

Anyway, these are just the ones I remember. There might be more that have fallen so far by the wayside that I don't remember making them.

well mac will be brewing again before lughnassadh so when he does you can come over here and learn to brew. that would be your 3rd new thing to learn. i will take the cloves off your hands and give them to another who will smoke them. as far as the others, eh...i can't help with that.
