Cue Dream Sequence...

I dreamt the other night that I was attending the state of the union address, actually there, in D.C., and that Gee-Dubya came out and did the whole thing as a standup routine... sort of. A lot like a Mark Fiore cartoon in which the person speaking is deadpan, but the entire audience knows it's satire and treats it that way. Tony Blair was there, wearing pearls (sadly, not a leash and collar, but hey - my unconscious is really doing all it can for me these days). Everyone was laughing, fully understanding that nothing coming out of the president's mouth could possibly be serious, and then, suddenly, Poppa Bush comes down the aisle, goes right up to the podium and cracks Junior over the head with his cane a couple of times. Thwhackety President! On his head!

I seriously dreamed this. Commentary from triadruid this morning: "This is the part where if you were August Pollak, you'd make a cartoon out of this and people would give you money." Sadly, I'm not anywhere nearly as cool as August. (But I'm not sure people give him money either. I hope they do.)

you really should write out what you remember from the dream and see what a few of us can come up with in drawing it out, its a great idea
