The Gaia Spring Bazaar has been canceled.

That means I now have a free day next Saturday! And a lot of free time in between now and next Saturday that I was probably going to spend taking fliers around, calling on vendors, baking kitchen-witch goodies and prepping my stuff to sell. I'm pretty sure this will just mean that someone else will schedule some sort of meeting on Saturday now, but I mean to resist that as much as possible.

It also means that the vast amount of jewelry and stuff that I made with hopes of selling it at Sacred Fire (at which the organizers forgot I was a vendor, so there was no space for me) and Spring Bazaar (now not happening), and Heartland Pagan Festival (not going, too hot) is just going to sit around, overflowing its container, until fall. I need to a) find some other events to do or b) do some "trunk shows" or c) both. *sigh*

I thought you had an Etsy shop? I've recently been impulse-purchasing a few things here and there on LJ-Etsy links. I really like what you make, but I seldom manage to be where the stuff is. Just thinking, is all. Good luck!

What better excuse to make it to the Totally Normal Event? ;)

Alas, on June 29th at 4 p.m., I'm committed to teaching a class on Kaballah in Kansas City.

I am going to make it to one of your events someday, though. Are you doing the Labyrinth again?

I have an Etsy shop, there's just nothing in it.

I keep meaning to do the photography necessary to get stuff back into the shop, but it's so very disheartening, because I am so very bad at it. Maybe I'll make a go at that next Saturday while I'm not at the Bazaar.

There's nothing in the Etsy shop right now. I'm pretty sad about that, but my photography is so bad that I get depressed trying to shoot things to put them in the shop. I have some vague belief that a light-box and my table-top tripod will improve the pics, but it's a clutching-at-straws belief. :(

Lifehacker had a featured article (this week?) about taking better pictures for Etsy. Or something like that. I'm pretty sure I didn't dream it.

Sounds like fun, and I seem to be free that weekend...

Is that a camping event?

No, it's a daily event. Saturday I think it runs 10-7, and Sunday a little shorter; of course vendors have extra time on both ends for setup and teardown.

The park where they hold the event is in the middle of town, and I think they they do not allow camping at all.

(FTR I'm not one of the Picnic organizers. I've just volunteered a few times, and I used to run another event in the same park.)
