As I understand it, we have to file some sort of paperwork seven days in advance, and give the city $35. There doesn't seem to be much of a review process for parades. We're supposed to get the requisite forms tomorrow.
This was going to be an unofficial thing, but applying for a permit for it makes the whole thing somehow funnier.
