featherynscaleI know it must be that time of the year again, because my receptionist started playing Christmas music yesterday. Therefore, I present the Winter Avarice List Meme, resurrected from the ashes of last year.
The Rules: Also Yclept Howe Thou Dost It Without Making Fail.
Make a post that contains your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, you might post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
The List
All I want for the festival of Winter Avarice (and good cheer) is:
1. For everyone in my household to be employed in some way that involves income, and that they really enjoy doing, so that none of us might dread our work.
2. Art for my tattoo.
3. An iPod.
4. A copy of this book.
5. Precious metal clay.
6. More ritualists for Gaia Community.

kittenpants got me a fabulously interesting non-tobacco smoking blend, but I have nothing to smoke it in! Also, hooray vice.

10. Occasional declarations of love and dirty poetry to be sent my way.
BONUS WISH: New CDs for my receptionist. I need to remember to facilitate this, because it will improve the lives of everyone in the office.
For Comparative Purposes, What I Listed Last Year, With Commentary
1. Winter Bazaar to be over. That happened! I'm not even running it this year!
2. For everyone in my household to be employed in some way that involves income, and that they really enjoy doing, so that none of us might dread our work. Not yet. It's on the list again.
3. The lion tattoo I've been working on collecting funding for. Didn't get it. Altered the concept for the art.kittenpants says she'll draft something for me. Maybe I'll actually get the ink this year.
4. People I know to generally be willing to believe that everything in the world is not set out specifically to harm or upset them. Some people have been removed from the conspiracy theorists list, yay!
5. No snow. Well, it snowed. But it didn't snow much. Thanks, global warming!
6. Hemoglobin. Still anemic. Crap.
7. The Five Fists of Science. Read it at the library. CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH.
8. For my parents to ship me the damned bedframe we've been talking about since August. OMG FINALLY I HAVE A BED NOW. I thought this would never really happen.
9. A bottle of good Scotch. I don't think I got one for Winter Avarice last year, but fortunately, I am generally capable of providing my own Scotch.
