Fun!

I had a dream last night in which I was involved in a fortress/siege sort of game, possibly in the SCA. My team was constructing a fortress out of hay bales to defend against another team, who were the invaders. This was more fun than seems reasonable. I don't mind the 'beating people with sticks/getting beaten with sticks' aspects of play war, but the whole siege engineering thing, that seems so much more engaging. I spent a fair amount of the dream time trying to work out with a fellow who seemed to be the marshal whether simulated Greek fire would be legal in the battle. Good times.

Speaking of good times, wildnsquirrelly expressed some concern the other day about me, on the grounds that he didn't think I enjoyed anything or got excited about anything anymore. Now, I understand I've been a little stressed of late, but I didn't think I was stressed enough to not be any fun. If that's been true, I apologize.

EDIT: Actually, if you want to get in on the plans, there will be a thread on flaunt_dev for that very purpose, and I invite you to come on over. Because that's like, what flaunt_dev is for.

So yeah. I'm reading this post and thinking, "This is an interesting dream for saffronhare to have. I know she's been doing some Barbarian Battles and SCA like stuff with Mac, but huh. And why is she spearheading featherynscale's flaunt. I really should post something to saffronhare's post here and say something about all that." Then my brain engaged as I typed a response...

It was weird but I'm better now.

And we have a problem. The next meeting for Yule is scheduled for tommorrow. Kitty can't go and I said I could but had forgotten I have a personal thing tomorrow and can't go either.

You can bring + as many as you like (we're friendly like that, and more santas = better). It'll be a going-out sort of event, with potential for an afterparty. Santa-like attire will be required.

I am vacillating but more than likely since it is at Barbara's and that's easier to get to for me than most and less daunting a drive home when we go late (as we tend to do).
