It was fun though, wasn't it?
Greta was fabulous - I didn't even recognize her until Andrew called her by name (and the wrong name at that). She came as Ma'at, who is the embodiment of natural law - where Thoth writes the laws for men, Ma'at is the law above that - laws of physics, of cause and effect, etc. In the original plan, I was going to be Ma'at, but Heather apparently thought that that might cause some sort of large-scale catastrophe, so I got re-assigned.
And I thought that David was pretty tasty for a baboon. :) As it worked out after the thing was over, we were talking about which god we'd have given to if we'd been on the other side of the game, and it works out that I'm a fan of Thoth and he's partial to Bast. So that was interesting.
You'd have to ask Heather about the egyptian concept of the afterlife sometime. I think that she said that they believe/d in the same sort of "perfected, uncorrupted bodies" in the afterlife that christians do. (Quotes because I can't remember if that's the right phrase or not.) So you might enter the afterlife at 80, but you'd be damned fit and tasty for an old dead man.
