Er. Yesterday was just a big tangle of bad, for no good reason at all that I could determine. Today has real potential, except for the sneezing thing. I was sneezing convulsively (of course. Does anybody ever sneeze non-convulsively?) before I even got out of bed this morning.

I've learned from previous visits to Sneeze All The Fucking Time Land that once I start sneezing, Claritin is powerless to help me. Likewise Sudafed, even the fake Sudafed (pseudopseudoephedrine?), even though the latter does not make me hopped up like the former. The only thing for it is Benadryl, so Benadryl first thing in the morning it was. Now I'm enjoying that packed-in-cotton feeling and fighting falling asleep in my chair, but hey, at least I'm not sneezing, right?

For bonus points, they've installed new carpeting in some areas of the office, so there are a lot of fibers and dustballs to contend with as well. :( The carpet looks good, though.

Something that has helped me in the past is a gel called Ayre. It is a gel that significantly reduces nasals irritants just a dad in each nare daily. You have to ask for it, It wil be behind the counter at the pharmacy,

sneezing cures

I generally have found that the only thing that fixes sneezing is an obscene amount of whiskey. I'm not sure i'd rec. mixing it with benadryl, but still by lunch you should be ready for a quick nip. or perhaps i'm the only who drinks my way through a work day. perhaps i do this more b/c of govt agency involvement than for sneezing treatment. however, i have found obsence amounts of whiskey generally helps cure anything.

Last time I was sneezy like that, I tried a good deep Neti-ing.

That was also where I found out that sneezing mid-neti is so horribly awful that fight/flight gives in to the laugh/cry instinct.

I think that's true -- on the last Really Bad Sneezing Day, we were having dinner at Tanner's, and they were doing a promo for Crown Royal. Crown is not usually on my to-drink list, but they were handing out Crown & Cokes, so I had one, and did not sneeze again for like unto two hours. Unfortunately, I think I would have a hard time explaning to my boss that I needed the whiskey at the office. :(

Sneezing would be so much fun if there really were orgasms related :(

It seems like a waste for her to be sneezing without them!

Every time my wife sneezes when we're out in the open I usually say something like "Aw, man". She usually rolls her eyes, but I can tell she's trying not to crack up while she does it.

The first forty times a day, yeah, probably. But really, that only gets me to about 10:00 a.m. on a really exciting allergy day.

Even considering your boss? Just keep it away from the consumers, yo.

In my world, they are. But then, in my world, a *lot* of things are orgasm related.

Sorry it's being that way, hon. These things don't usually last for more than a day, do they?
