The date me/ fuck me thing is bad enough, I might get a few desperate people who would do me after a few drinks, but have you seen the one where you put your name in the comments and then everyone can say what they think of you underneath as a comment? I'd rather eat my own dog (sorry Lucy) If I want to know what people think of me and have my self esteem trampled I'll call my mom. That way I get my duty call out of the way along with being damaged psychologically. Have you ever noticed you don't see those things in my journal? I'm frail... I don't need help to be damaged.

I don't know that I have seen that one. I generally assume that people are telling me what they think of me, as far as it is polite to do so, and avoiding my company if they don't like me. I do realize, though, that the reason that I think that is because that's what I mostly do, and I understand that simply because I do a thing, doesn't mean everybody does.

I saw it once or twice, it would be like this, I make the post saying to do it, you put your name in my comments, and then others would anon say what they think of you. I found it odd... but then again, what does Ripley say in Alien Ressurection, something like, "I find a lot of things funny, but I don't think they are"

BTW I think the greatest mystery in the world is why exactly women have low self esteem when its obvious they shouldn't. Actually I blame it on Cosmo and Vogue among others. It jst seems non-sensical. Sorry about my soap box.

Actually, I suspect it has more to do with regional socialization than sex/gender. I'm from the South, where it's considered polite, even charming, to be somewhat self-deprecating, even if you are the penis-having type.

I am pretty sure that the whole dance of relationships has to do with two things fear and self-esteem. If you could chart these two factors for each person you could predict whether they will intially get together or not.

I'm not familiar with Rhys Meyers' oeuvre, but those photos definitely strike me as projecting the Deeply Disturbed Angry Young Man vibe that Anakin needed and which Christensen utterly failed to deliver.

Also, Vader is totally swishy. He even wears a cape! And look at his relationship with Obi Wan. Padme was a beard, poor thing. She deserved so much better.

Imagine how much better the whole series would have been if there'd been some sexual identity confusion explicitly in the text.
