I forgot to mention in my previous post about the film, the best bit.

Near the end of the film, Our Hero is confronting a new vampire, who is holding a little boy hostage. Our Hero has killed the vampire's boyfriend/mentor earlier in the film, and she has demanded revenge.

So he's looking at her, and he's like "What do you want from me?"
And she says, "I want to live!"
Him: "So live, then. What's stopping you?"
Her: "No, you don't understand. I want my humanity."
Him: "Then act like a human being!"

Yeah. We're all monsters. Some of us just know better than to act like it all the time.

I was pretty sure I was gonna go, but your recent comments about this movie have created in me an imperative to go watch it instead of writing papers.

Thank you. Really, i'm not being sarcastic.

I have influenced someone to see a limited-release film. Sweet!!

I think you'll enjoy it, provided that it's not critically important to you that a film have a seamless plot to which everything is tied.
