It's Tuesday, and my brain is tired.

The New Year's party was generally a success. One vomiter, one moment of profound angst, one or several instances of people trying to pick up on someone with a probably incompatible sexual preference. But that was it as far as problems went. Nobody got hurt, nobody broke anything, nobody locked themselves in our laundry room and pretended to be a werewolf while also taking apart our washing machine, so I think that's all good. There was a moment in which I told people that they were absolutely not going to take a swing at each other in my kitchen, but I don't think there was any actual interest in fighting there, so that was okay too.

We consumed a prodigious amount of booze, to the point where I believe that we actually have less booze in the house now than when we started. This is apparently usual for other people's parties, but not for ours, as generally, people seem to bring more than they drink, and then leave the rest. While this is incredibly kind and generous behavior, it does lead to a surplus of booze in the bar and nowhere to put it. BB did come round with a box full of various bottles of single malt, which was much appreciated, but also he took the remaining bottles home with him, which was also appreciated.

We went through a couple of the hentai films we'd rented (one of which was mostly tentacle rape, and the other of which was subtitled "Quest for the Seven Holy Dildos", if that gives you any indication), and much film-snarkiness occurred. Roommate J also provided some yaoi from his collection, which was well-received, if by well-received you mean 'mocked less roundly than the ostensibly hetero-interest films'. We rented more than we could possibly be arsed to watch at the party, which is usually the way, since it's fun for a couple of hours, but not much longer than that.

A KURS game followed, with the assistance of a flogger brought by ES. You usually don't need any S&M toys to play, but sometimes it helps. :) It is said that some people had sex in the bathtub. It is also said that some people tried to have a threesome on the floor of the Den of Iniquity, but were not very successful. I do not know if these things are true. Both bathtub and floor needed washed, regardless.

The whole house is kind of a disaster, in fact. [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants was all about filling the Den of Iniquity with balloons, which was funny in the party, but sort of a pain in the ass later. [livejournal.com profile] triadruid was pleased to take out his aggressions later by stomping them all, so that was okay. All the Den needs now is perhaps a carpet cleaning machine, and to take the floor blankets to the laundromat/ The kitchen, though, should be firebombed. There is no other way.

I'm guessing you meant to say "it was a great party", but I think it's also true as it stands :)

You were the most cheerful drunk person in the history of drinking, I think. Thank you for coming over to play!

"nobody locked themselves in our laundry room and pretended to be a werewolf while also taking apart our washing machine"

Somehow I think that would make the party for me. But then, I have a thing for werewolves going all the way back to Quintin Collins (yes, I know, way before everyone's time.)

Incorrectomundo, my dear. I had a huge crush on David Selby back in the day.

And the only reason there were no were-anythings is because I missed the party. So there. :-)

That would be lovely. It would reduce the *ick* factor in the basement significantly. Thanks!

I remember running home from grade school, going to my Aunt Nanny's, sitting in the big old overstuffed recliner than smelled of Melvin's tobacco, and huddling under a big old blanket she's wrap over me, while I would shiver and quiver while watching "Dark Shadows." Good times, and oh baby, David Selby was so hot.

Your were-thinginess is welcome, as it doesn't often seem to involve the destruction of major household appliances. You also don't bite the pets or children, which is appreciated.

Well, there was this hand mixer once . . .

Oh, never mind.

It was an interesting party, that one, and fortunately not at my house. We were relegated to the role of occasionally passing by the laundry room door, listening to the thumps and crashes and growling and going, "He thinks he's a what? What was he drinking?".

It was not a thing that I would want to occur in my house, where I would have wolfsitting duties.

It's all good, man. Just funny.
It was good to see your lady as well. Are you taking her back to Indiana, or are you keeping her this time?

A fight in the kitchen, S&M KURS, and sex in a bathtub....?

Glad [livejournal.com profile] cerrunos and I chose nekked KURS and individualized drinking at LC's house... I don't know that he could have handled all that very well...

I was going to ask you which hooch went best in coffee.

It's an old thread... but I'm no longer a quick wit so please accept my lag time. 8-)

Unfortunately, or fortunately, as the case may be, that's all I know about that one.

Depends on what you like, I suppose.
In my coffee, I like any of the following things:
- Irish whiskey
- Bourbon
- Irish Cream
- Creme de Menthe
- Godiva Liqueur
- Buttershots
- Gran Marnier
- Chambord
- Kirsch

Though, usually, not at the same time. ;)

Anyway, since when are you not a quick wit?

Sounds like a plan. I think our plan is to go to someone else's this year, possibly the Charlesworths'. We figure we can only manage this sort of thing every other year.

Sounds like you lot had the fun as well. You're right though, it may not have been [livejournal.com profile] cerunnos' kind of party.
