Happy Halloween!

In my apparent quest to be the exact opposite of saffronhare, I have to say this is my favorite day of the year.

To wit, I am currently sitting in the office in full pirate regalia. With swords, that being a part of full pirate regalia. The Welsh Boss has already picked them all up and played with them.

Also, yesterday I got to wear the inevitable pointy hat, which always makes me happy. Our Samhain ritual (inexplicably Harry Potter-themed) was relatively hitch-free, as nobody either a)set themselves or their neighbor on fire, b)spilled oddly-colored concoctions on the church floor, or c)beat anyone else about the head and shoulders with their magic wands. Hard to complain about that. Also got to show off the Aes Sedai shawl to niveus_tigris, since it came in the bin of altar cloths. Jokes about bonding ensued. (Also, niveus_tigris, I have a shiny silver cloth which came from your altar cloth bin.)

Then, this morning, got to see triadruid in the Asha'man costume, very sexy. ("Boy in a dress," we said. "It's a rule - boys in dresses get laid more often," he said).

And, later, Pirate Porch Party at our house! All local happy people welcome. Pirates and horny men in kilts doubly so. Whee!

Grooviness. John made some edits to the schedule again, so it looks like I'll be showing up at y'all's place sometime a little after 7, dressed either as a homicidal maniac or possibly a butcher. Or maybe a homicidal butcher maniac, in the way those things go.

I like Halloween a lot. This year we didn't decorate, since all our stuff is in New Orleans, but usually I do fun stuff.

Nah. You get extra points if you're a boy in a dress, and sometimes that happens to be hard to pronounce. Causation/Correlation/Whatnot.
