Just got back from the doctor a little bit ago.
Full of holes, feeling about a quart low.
Also got knee x-rays, unexpectedly.
I hate the medical process, even though I like my doctor as a human being.
Between that, and the office crap and the not sleeping and everything else, we are feeling a little extremely sharp and pointy today.
We are either going to bed when we get home, or we are going to start drinking when we get home, one or the other.

I despise going to Drs. If it weren't for a chronic problem with my thyroid (it died 20 years ago) I wouldn't go at all. They hold my meds ransom though. You need a refill of your synthroid, okay, but first you must come in for a pap smear, boob pressing, and overall look see.

As it happens, synthroid is what I was nominally at the doctor for.
I'm not quite old enough to be in mandatory boob-pressing territory, but they do like to run everything else if they can.
Even the lab tech today was complaining about it. "Dr. M, he's a testing kind of boy," he said. I had to agree.

My drs like to test me too, and our insurance sucks lol....
It could be worse, at least now I've found a Dr. that gets me in within 1/2 hour, usually.

Seriously. The lack of sleep thing sucked, and was not what you needed right before going in to the doctor. Perhaps a drink *and* some sleep.

I'm counting the hours until I can go in on Wednesday. Alternating hypersomnia with insomnia does not, in fact, average out. (I spent my night playing the "Can't sleep, memories will eat me" game.)

I missed you last night, for the same reasons you stated above. *eyeroll* I think we were both short on sleep, as I sat down on the couch for a planned just-for-a-few-minutes (I swear!) of closed-eyes resting and the next thing I know it's 3:23am. (Yeah, wigged me out too when I thought about it this morning on the way to work. Not at the time, my mind was refusing to operate at that hour).
