I popped up the Ubuntu forums this morning to see if anybody had successfully gotten the Spore Creature Creator to work. The relevant thread begins with some formless speculation about whether EA would release a Linux port, goes immediately to "Well, probably Transgaming will get it running under Cedega", then to "I think it will work if you add these drivers to Wine", and then, by page five, has moved to "Screw those guys, I say we make our own." And, not only does it go there in short order, but also, the posters are forming a project group and choosing tools to work with. I love that.
