Today, I:
- Went to the Gaia Community business meeting. Wonder of wonders, it was not the least bit painful today. I should mention, though, that we were nearly an hour late, due to the fact that Kansas had apparently met its quota of Missourians early this morning, and all the roads into the state were shut down to one lane of traffic. So it's quite possible that there was pain and misery before we got there, and we just got lucky and missed it.
- Got all the stuff I needed to pick up for tomorrow's workshop. This required going all over hell and half of Texas looking for a multi-colored candle, which we eventually were given by the kind people at White Light books. Wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but on reflection, it might be better, and hey, it was a gift.
- Went to ReStore, looking for materials for the eco-activism tree we're building. We didn't get anything for that project there, but I did pick up a handful of locking nuts which greatly resemble large, cartoony cogs. Look for them in a jewelry design near you. :)
- Didn't play laser tag despite having stated that I would do so. There was a place to play not far from the ReStore, so we went up there, but it was in the middle of freaking nowhere, and there wasn't anyone else there to play. I decided that it would be much more fun to play with more people than just me and
triadruid, so we'll have to plan an excursion another time. They have open play on Friday and Saturday nights starting at 10, I think, so that might work.
- Discovered where the new sex toy shop is in Westport, but didn't go in, because they open at 5, and we went by there about 3. Oh, well.
- Took a nap, bitches. It was everything I hoped it would be.
- Made fried chicken, whole-grain pilaf, and sauteed spinach with garlic and vinegar for dinner. Not bad for the second-string cook. (Quite yummy, in fact.)
- Drew the Death card for my daily meditation. Universe says, "Hey! You! Do something dramatically different!". I'm working on that.
- Had a good time, generally. I needed that likewhoa. And it's not even 9 o'clock. I could still go out again. Amazing.
