A lovely, tall, sharp-boned man with black hair that swings about his face has vital information for me. I've been following him for days, through parties and offices, barbershops and campgrounds, until Sunday, when I leave off to go to ritual. When I arrive, he's there, part of the day's team. His name is Michael, but I know he's a different angel. In the Fellowship hall, a rectangular labyrinth with a pattern reminiscent of a Greek key has been taped out on the floor. Inside the labyrinth are words. You can enter from four (or maybe eight?) different points, Michael explains, and the path you walk will give you the words you need. I'm delighted now, because this is the way he has set up to get me the information I need. The ritual begins. He hands me a card which is marked with the symbol for water, with an apostrophe -- water prime. I enter at the appropriate point of the labyrinth, dodging other walkers because the space is small. The words my path takes me past are these: "We could have stopped the war, all the wars, but we were not in time."
Awake:
I am not prepared for a day which will involve as many costume changes as today will. And yet, it is upon me. Sucking it up, as we speak.
Also, yesterday, I made rum balls. They are not
breathofgold's rum balls, but they are damned tasty anyway. They're going to my second charity event of the weekend, the Kitchen Witch Bake Sale at Oracles of Aquarius tomorrow. You should come out and buy them.
