Mmmmm...DragonCon
Apr. 22nd, 2005 01:39 pmI'm glad I got out of bed today.
For a number of reasons, but not least among them: the possibility of going to DragonCon with
wildnsquirrelly was raised. For a brief shining moment I'm seven, hopping up and down and squealing, imploring the cosmos, "Please, please, please, can I go to DragonCon? I'll be good, I promise!" (There's a lot of it going around today -- see
adammaker.)
So I start running the calculations... $225 for a plane ticket, $65 for entry at the con... say $200 for hotel (I've done my time sleeping on the con hotel floor -- I'm too old for that, and the sort of costuming I now tend to favor has too many sharp bits. In the immortal words of Eddie Izzard, "You'll cut your bits off like that!")... I think I can manage it, maybe. No need for a car, you can get everywhere you need to go on the MARTA, so that's good.
I should totally go. Other people should totally go with me.
