featherynscale: Schmendrick the magician from The Last Unicorn (Default)
Missed out on Rabbit Hole Day yesterday -- my short story hasn't made it out of my brain yet, and I didn't have anything compelling else to say that didn't sound contrived even to me. I tried to take a page out of [livejournal.com profile] saffronhare's book and do some alternate timeline stuff. I actually wrote several fictional entries about what I might be doing had I made a different decision at one key point in my life or another. Bitch of it is, none of that was pleasant enough to share. Which brings me to this question: Is this the best of all possible worlds, or am I just exceedingly pessimistic about anything I'm not currently experiencing? I like to think that somewhere along the lines I made some good choices, and am currently inhabiting a reality that reflects that. I suppose I will continue to think that, until proven wrong.

Incidentally, for the benefit of [livejournal.com profile] rio_luna, Ann Coulter is a MAN, baby!. (Which is to say that there is no way I could top that one anyway, so just as well nothing got posted.)

Anyway, game on tonight. Will our intrepid band of misfits live to conquer the castle, rescue what might possibly be a princess, and fight another day? Seems likely, except for the twitchy, mildly electrified druid who separated himself from the pack to run headlong into an entire barracks full of guards. He's doomed. ;-D But, on the other hand, last session they were all doomed, and then, somehow, there was interdimensional gorilla wrestling, and everyone was saved. (I give bonus points for negotiating dangerous situations successfully by ridiculous means.)

Other things on the to-do list for today:
- Finish draft of Nine Fires Website copy
- Photograph new jewelry pieces and post
- Call lawyer
- Try not to think about how much going back to work on Monday is going to suck
