General Announcement:

I am tired enough of being ill that I am taking prescription medication in order to feel better. It does occur, every 6-8 years or so. Mom sent me a package with some antibiotics and whatnot, which arrived in the mail today. She then called to instruct me on the taking of same. I generally trust her, as she is much more wise in the ways of pharmaceuticals than I. Included in the package with the pills was a sparkly pink ostrich pen. And when I say 'ostrich', I mean the whole ostrich, not like a plume. This was apparently from my grandma, who also sends me sparkly pink bunnies on occasion. Mom said she wanted to pack something harmless looking with the meds, on the suspicion that there might be some regulation somewhere about giving away your prescriptions, especially to people in other states. The ostrich was apparently the most harmless thing around the house.

So anyway, meds. Take that, you nose goblins and assorted bacterium.

Also, mailed cards today. Will go down and ship gifts tomorrow. And, for extra bonus holiday points, re-dressed the hall altar as if it were a Yule altar, and not a ... er ... well. Whatever it was before. It's a Yule altar now.

A box of presents from the relatives also arrived today. Mom wrapped them all. I know this because she called me several weeks ago to ask what colors my tree was. She apparently wanted to know this so that she could wrap the gifts in colors that wouldn't clash with the tree. This is the sort of thing my family does. [livejournal.com profile] triadruid says his family doesn't expect Martha Stewart from him. This is only because they are not yet aware of what it means that I live with him. Must....decorate. Can't stop it, it's genetic, apparently.
