It is simply not my day
Jul. 3rd, 2003 01:27 pmSo I'm making a necklace, and it needs to be made with gold-colored findings instead of silver, which is what I generally use. Of course, I have no gold findings, so I have to go get some. So I go to the bead shop, which has moved since the last time I went there. So I go to the new place. They don't have anything I need, so I'm grumbling.
I get in the car, go to back out, and the woman across from me has obviously had the same plan. So I slam on brakes, but it doesn't help - I can't get out of the way and she hits me. Or at least I think she hits me - maybe I hadn't stopped all the way yet - it happened really fast.
So now I have a new break in my rear bumper, and I'm not sure whose fault the insurance co is going to say it is - I hope I don't end up having to pay for damage to her car, since it was obviously worth a considerable amount more than mine.
Then, to add insult to injury, I drive through a hardee's to get some chicken strips, and they give me a roast beef sandwich instead, and I have to go back and wait in line again and exchange it.
It's a good thing that tomorrow's a holiday...
