You know you're in trouble when your government is more concerned about who you're sleeping with than your church is. Not that, in my world, your church should tell you who you may and may not sleep with either, but the majority of folk seem to want that kind of instruction with their spirituality, which is their business, I suppose. The trouble I have comes when your church wants to start directing people outside its membership about where to put their genitalia... (Or when the right to assemble peaceably is dependent on whether or not you're the sort of group the government approves of. That's not much good either).
