It might be bad, but it's not *all* bad
Apr. 17th, 2003 03:12 pmThree cheers for not getting screwed over when you're certain that screwing-over is imminent!
I was positive that I was not going to be paid this week, since the office is closed tomorrow, officially payday. I spent considerable time and energy last night trying to figure out how I was going to make the $17.52 in my bank account last until Monday, and I was seeing clear and vivid visions of ramen noodles and asking for rides.
But lo! The gods of the payroll office are merciful, and they did respond to the needs of the lowly and broke, and it came to pass that we got paid a day early. Praise be unto them that cut the checks, bless their coming, bless their going, and may their passage enrich my checkbook.
