Note to self...
Mar. 19th, 2003 10:45 amJust before bedtime, either stuffed chiles *or* H.P. Lovecraft stories may be consumed, but not both. Had a hell of a dream in which my grandmother's house was temporary home to a cohort of deities, mostly, but not entirely, from the Chtulu mythos.
In one particularly perplexing bit, Ares, Greek god of war, stood at the kitchen sink, washing dishes and conversing with the Old One they call black goat with a thousand young or whatnot, who was seated calmly at the dining room table, drinking coffee. "Are you sure no one else ever comes?" asked Ares. To which the Goat responded, "No, no, always the same: Tree, Goat or Woman. Never any of the others."
I don't know what that's about, but I suspect my grandmother would be offended.
