LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): I don't know if you're the type of person who enjoys trance-dancing half-undressed till 4 a.m. at bacchanalian parties, then prowling the early morning streets barking at the moon and singing songs from Broadway musicals with loony companions until you end up playing strip poker outside an all-night diner as the sun comes up. But if you are that type of person, this will be a perfect week to indulge your inclinations. If you're not, please find an equivalent adventure that you're comfortable with. 'Tis the season to be rowdy.

I hear you've been rowdy over there lately... I heard a vicious rumor that you were having a bit of a party on Saturday, but hadn't heard it from you, so was unsure about dropping by. Good to hear that you and your lady (and your houseguest) are in the midst of good times. :)

You made that up, right?

Hell no. I would never ever ever make up astrological or other divinatory/magical information to justify behavior I was already planning/participating in. I don't have to - I read Rob Brezny, who seems to have an interest in telling people to go do their thing, particularly if the people have the good fortune of being Leos. This is from this week's Free Will Astrology column.

Mmmmm, okay.

I will, then. Incidentally, this was yours:

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Color psychologists say that red stimulates emotional intensity. It can raise the temperature of love
and awaken feelings that have been subconscious or dormant. Given the rich potentials for deepening intimacy that are now available, you may therefore want to add more red to your apparel and environment. On the other hand, be aware that red can cloud objectivity and make negotiations more jarring. Since you and your partners will probably want to agree on some common goals, you should include calming blue in the mix. Not too
much, though: An excess of blue can cause a chill.

Hehehe

I already wore my red boxers (well, one pair) for the week, but I'll see what I can do...

Of course, you'll be shocked to know that I've got blue socks and that new blue polo shirt on today, with the cream slacks. I'm not feeling ice-blue, though...

Red boxers, blue shirts.

Don't you have a red silk pair? Or did those go the way of the dodo?

Is the blue for suppressing your red qualities while in the office? Or an attempt to "think cool" during the regrettable lack of air-conditioning?

One pair for the week? I didn't want to know that.

Gack no. One red pair so far this week (counting from Monday).

No, I'm blessed to have both family and friends that delight in buying me crazy boxers, in addition to the useful sort. So now that it's summer, I have an entire drawer of shorts and boxers, both the under-clothes kind and the wear-by-themselves kind.

If it will help your peace of mind, I'll inventory them later on and let you know what the totals are. :)

I'm perfectly willing to let [livejournal.com profile] triadruid defend his own underpants usage, but I can testify to the fact that he has more than one pair in use per week, despite his barbarian tendencies.

Just wishing I was a Leo after reading that. Where did you pick that one up?

Pisces

You've got a decent one in this batch too:

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): "More good has been launched by more people from kitchen tables than any other platform in the land," says populist writer Jim Hightower, quoted in *Orion* magazine. I hope you take his words to heart, Pisces. Even if your power spot is normally in an office or store or art studio, this week it will be at your kitchen table. Even if you normally like to brainstorm with your allies at restaurants or bars or on long walks, this week you should gather them at your kitchen table. The dreams and schemes you hatch there in the coming days could change the course of history.

So, uh, party at your house?

I'm up for it!

Sure! What would people like to do, and when would they like to do it?

Just making sure, after the earlier conflagration of language.

"I think the word you were looking for was symbolism."

Yes, apparently. But a more wine-colored purple. I think I can loan you some shirts... :)

Symbolism?

I suppose it's always good to err on the side of too much information, rather than not enough. And you can't ever have too many panties, Grandma used to say. What that is symbolic of, I have no idea. There, now I've ended a clause with a preposition. Satisfied? :-)

sorry, can't let that one pass

Actually my dining room table is quite sturdy. You can ask how I know this one in person if you really feel the need to know.
