featherynscaleLast night I dreamed that I fled my home and ran away to Neo-Victorian Atlanta. In case anyone is wondering, in Neo-Victorian Atlanta, MARTA is a shit-ton more reliable. Also, the trains are infinitely more attractive and better lit, in a sort of pale science-fiction blue which emanates from recessed tracks on the side of the cars.
Also, in Neo-Victorian Atlanta, the primary mode of entertainment is community theater, which is extremely well-funded and allowed to occupy pretty much any space it wants, even spaces with extravagant multiphasic crystalline chandeliers which hover over grand staircases with no visible means of support.
NVA would, in fact, be the ideal sort of city in which for me to live, except for the fact that you can't get decent Vietnamese food anywhere within the city limits, and the fact that the city limits are ringed by huge personal estates with exquisitely manicured gardens, which are guarded by automated dogs with fractal teeth. Other than that, it would have been perfect.
