In other news, most people in the enneagram question pegged me as the type I usually test myself as, which would be Type 7 (in this response set, that was The Enthusiast). One person identified me as a Type 9 (The Peacemaker), and one as a Type 3 (The Acheiver), and one as more or less a Type 8 (The Challenger). This is extra fun comparative stuff because the 8 can be so very confrontational and the 9 can be so very passive-aggressive (of course, the 8 is also assertive and bold, and the 9 is also laid-back and personable). The 3 is ambitious and popular and can be a bit of a flake or a fake. For further reference, the types as defined by this test are described here.
When I was in college, I did a special topics course on the Enneagram. At that time, the 8 and 3 were among my lowest scores. So I think that's kind of fun to see that even though I might not be all that, I seem to fake it pretty well.
