OK. It's not funny anymore.
I was looking forward to this not having a job thing. Thinking, "Oh, great, I'll have time to do all the things I want to do and never have time to, etc." Ha. Since I'm at home all the damned time now, the list of things I want to do, or have the necessary inspiration to do has gotten really really short, and none of the things on it are even at all productive.
I did manage to re-start my daily ritual practice, which is good. It's kind of like going back to the gym after a long time away - by the time I'm done with the sequence, which is short, I'm exhausted. Really, that's been it though.
I'm going to try to do something at least vaguely useful tomorrow. I don't know what it's going to be, but I'm really not going to sit around and read and play Diablo. I swear to the gods, I'm not.

On the positive side, you have restarted your daily ritual practice, and you worked on the Adult RE stuff yesterday. So, you did do something useful.
I'm a big advocate of setting smaller goals that may or may not eventually work toward a big goal, but they are achievable. (besides, wasn't on of your goals the 50 book challenge; so reading would be progressing toward that goal...) Try starting with smaller goals and you may find your motivation and progress are better.

You used to be the Mistress of Slack
Today's Wednesday, if you want to get brave and bold and go take recycling over to K-Mart on Bannister... I think they open at 11am.
Oh and despite the monkey, the dog is bored to death. I fear he may do something...striking soon.

I will take the recycling over - where exactly am I going?
Re: You used to be the Mistress of Slack
Take I-435 around the curve north, get off on Bannister Rd. Go east, and just stay in that eastmost lane until you see K-Mart.
There's some big flattened boxes in the garage if you think you've got room, otherwise we'll manage them with the hatchback at some point. Since they started closing at 5:30 I can't get there after work like I used to.
Donkey shorts.

Not to dissaude you from hanging out with Drummel in tight shorts

(Not that I'm knocking the concept of Drummel in tight shorts, but it's really the motivation that I'm after.)

I think the asassin from the expansion is my favorite character class.
I got an xBox this holiday season and have discovered Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes. It is amazingly similar to Diablo II, and you can play up to 4 people cooperative, a la Gauntlet. It uses just enough of the 3rd Ed. rules to make the character developement fun and interesting, but not so many (# of attacks - spell memorization) to inhibit the dungeon crawl romp.
Awesome cut scenes as well.
