That's pretty awesome, right there. (A meme)

Your brain: 0% interpersonal, 100% visual, 140% verbal, and 160% mathematical!

Congratulations on being 400% smart! Actually, on my test, everyone is. The above score breaks down what kind of thinking you most enjoy doing. A score above 100% means you use that kind of thinking more than average, and a score below 100% means you use it less. It says nothing about how good you are at any one, just how interested you are in each, relatively. A substantial difference in scores between two people means, conclusively, that they are different kinds of thinkers.

Matching Summary: Each of us has different tastes. Still, I offer the following advice, which I think is obvious:

  1. Don't date someone if your interpersonal percentages differ by more than 80%.
  2. Don't be friends with someone if your verbal percentages differ by more than 100%.
  3. Don't have sex with someone if their math percentage is over 200%.

See, I told you. No social skills. Also, I'm 40% away from unfuckable. My people, they are suspicious of such statements.

I'm 40% away from un-fuck-able also, but I don't think that is as big a surprise in my case.

Wanna go to a party this evening? I could use an extra friend/escort who was "safe". A lot of the people I would ordinarily invite are busy tonight and many other people I know wouldn't be willing to accept a "just friends" context.

What time were you thinking of going? I've got a meeting that will probably run to 9 or so.

[identity profile] liquidfun.livejournal.com 2008-01-24 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh, that wouldn't work then. Ah well, K & KK will both be there, so I'll survive alright. :-)

I expect you will, yes. :)

You have strange problems, my friend.

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2008-01-24 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Naw, I'm pretty sure "I want to hook up with that person, but they're my buddy's partner and I'm too shy to discuss it with them and/or they don't play like that" is a pretty common problem. At least, if we are to take popular music as any indication, it is.

[identity profile] liquidfun.livejournal.com 2008-01-25 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Pretty normal problems, actually.

Many of my friends, no problem. Unfortunately, these friends weren't available for this particular event.

Some of them, if I were to ask them to attend a party with me, even with an "as a friend" disclaimer, either would think *I* had ulterior motives, or would feel encouraged to have ulterior motives of their own, neither of which I'm OK with right now.

If I were a bit more emotionally stable right now, not as much of an issue, but I just don't feel like dealing with some of that these days.

I find their unfuckable premise to be suspect. Anyone who'd write a quiz in which we get percentage-scores over 100% is not entitled to tell me what to do/not do based on mathematical talent.

The first two evaluation criteria are comparative -- how much are you similar to this other person. The math one is about absolute value, which suggests there is something inherently unsexy about quantitative geeks. I suspect the quiz-makers of bias based on feelings of inadequacy ;)

I like the way you think.

Yep.

They're just jealous of my numerical tendencies ...

More like "don't have sex with someone if your math percentage is less than 100% and theirs is over 200%", I'm thinking...

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2008-01-24 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I was thinking of it from the other perspective: Geeks! Do not have sex with non-geeks! It's not worth it! *grin*

Hey, my math percentage came out to 200%. I call shenanigans!

WHY shouldn't one have sex with someone who has a math score of over 200%??
Are they too apt at multiplying? Does it show an recessive gene for Asperger's? Does it mean they hacked the test as the max Math score is 200?
I just don't get it.
