The Winter Holiday Lovefest Post

It has been suggested in several quarters that the best way to handle the encroaching season of gift-giving and generalized avarice (since everybody seems to be broke this year) is to trade favors, services, and homemade stuff. I support this (since I, too, am broke), so in order to facilitate this exchange, I am making this post.

Here's how this goes:

If you want to join the exchange, post this post, or something resembling it, in your little corner of the internet. I make no promises, but I will do my best to fulfill all reasonable requests.

The mind boggles. I remember as a kid I once snorted a pixie stick on a dare. Granted...I wouldn't mind doing that now if a straight line was cut on a strippers stomach.

Hmm...that'd be worth the pain. And of course, if you know me, that's probably a good thing.

It's entirely possible that you may receive a bouquet of long-stemmed pixie sticks from our house at some point. Your fascination with the things is... er... fascinating.

I think this is a great idea, since most of the folks I know are not exactly flush with cash for presents this year, and it makes a lot of sense.

Thank you. While we've been able to select and train houseplants and fish that will survive/thrive on "benign neglect" or even "companionable indifference," it is not actually a recipe for Marital Success (tm).

it's every other friday. this friday night is karaoke. there will not be one on the 24th since that is xmas eve and not a lot of people will be there but i believe the next one is jan 7th. i wouldn't be going on the 31st even if they did have karaoke cuz i like to be sure to be home by midnight to ring in the new year with my family.
