Another thing about the Dallas trip

The PVUUC folks are big fans of the God Auction, and have apparently been following our e-mail lists intently to see who the four gods to be represented would be. When we were doing Q&A in their Sunday service, that was what they wanted to know about, who won the penny auction. We had to tell them that we didn't know yet.

Of course, we knew the pennies were being counted while we were on the road, so we called in, got the information, and relayed it to [livejournal.com profile] dop4, all 'Breaking News' style. They have a sizeable contingent of Flying Spaghetti Monster supporters, so D. was delighted to hear that His Noodliness gets to move on to the next round of competition.

(Also, for the edification of [livejournal.com profile] 8elements, I discovered the existence of The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster today.)

In utterly unrelated news, Audible has a version of Umberto Eco's Foucault's Pendulum read by Tim Curry. OMFG.

Research is needed. I know only minimums at this point. Must buy.
