Harry Potter, and also, DOOM!

I've just discovered something. Along with "black cock" and "blonde pink", "Snape head" is a phrase that you should really think about before blithely typing it into the Google image search.

So, yeah. I was building an icon containing "The Condensed Harry Potter" (see below), and needed more Snape expressions. Mais non. So now I'm off the concept totally. Besides, the icon on this post is the only Harry-Potter-related icon I'll ever *really* need.

What brought this on? Whizzed through the new HP book on Saturday waiting for Asmodeus to get fixed up. And liked it, or at least liked it better than the last one, which I think might have been Harry Potter and the Really Shitty Year, or Harry Potter and the Suicide Helpline, or something like that. I generally like these books because they're funny in unexpected, and generally good-natured ways, not because I'm into the deep drama of wars in the Wizarding community or whatnot.

See, people with extraordinary powers using them to deal with normal situations, funny. People with extraordinary powers striving valiantly to save the world, not funny. Like in the Fantastic Four movie -- Mr. Fantastic stretching across the hall for a roll of toilet paper? Funny. Mr. Fantastic stretching around Enraged Villain Dr. Doom in order to Save The World From Certain Death? Seen it.

Anyway, without further ado:

Harry: I think Snape is Evil.
Snape: What's that, Potter? Snarking at teachers? Ten points from Gryffindor!
Harry: See!! Evil!

Snape: *Sneaks off*

Harry: See that, he snuck away! EVIL!!
Dumbledore: No, I'm sure he's alright.

Snape: *returns later in the year, nobody having at all noticed that he's left his classes without arranging for a substitute*

Harry: I bet you were off being EVIL!
Snape: What? Evil? No, I was in the can. Ten points from Gryffindor.
Harry: Damn.

(well, *I* thought it was funny.)

Bah to it. We were angsty and depressed and devastated nand mean to each other for days afterwards.

I was a little confused by several points, there, myself.

I have theories, though. Of course, by the time the next one comes out and I actually get around to buying it or borrowing it, I won't remember what they are.

There are plusses to having a brain like a sieve, you know. You might see it coming, but by the time it gets there, you've forgotten that you saw it in the first place.

Bwahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should totally make that icon. Jest sayin'.

Or, to turn you off the concept even more, there's this (http://www.playwitch.net/issue1/index2.asp). Do excercise caution before clicking that, won't you? *evil snerk*

Awful like a wreck on the side of the highway. Just like. Except there's no cops.

What struck me mostly is that Lucius Malfoy is not a a rich and famous bachelor of the wizarding world. That and David Thewlis is way, way skinnier than that. And better hung. I'm just saying.

Wait.

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2005-08-17 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
How do you know th...Nevermind. Don't answer that.

No biggie. Erm. Yes, it is, actually.

[identity profile] fionnabhar.livejournal.com 2005-08-17 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Two words: Total Eclipse.

Re: No biggie. Erm. Yes, it is, actually.

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2005-08-17 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
That really wasn't the alarming part of the question.

Huh?

LOL
(really.)

That reaction was much much funnier than Playwitch.

(But is there a Playwizard? Nevermind, I DO NOT want to see Professor McGonegal in it....)

Meep!

[identity profile] matchgirl42.livejournal.com 2005-08-17 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
In all fairness, I did give a warning.

But I truly hope I didn't break anything. So Sorry. From now on I'll try to keep my sick and twisted thoughts to myself, all alone down here in da gutter. ;)

It's okay. I don't think she's injured. She just had to go bathe, all of a sudden.

Oh honey, don't worry about that! Obviously [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale didn't tell you about our "S&M Furries For Jesus" conversation from the other night -- that was REALLY wrong, and all my doing.

I guess [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale was trying to save my dignity. I actually ran off to bathe because I'd been painting at the kitchen table without putting my hair back, and when I bent over to paint the underside of the board, I dunked my hair right into the palette of blue paint. Blue acrylic paint, in my hair. So, not that I had any dignity to save...

I always knew Snape was a brat.

We want to know....

"black cock" and "blonde pink", and what did come up when you typed those in?

ha!

[identity profile] drummel.livejournal.com 2005-08-17 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
10 points for the Trinity houseld for "Harry Potter and the Really Shitty Year". I too was a bit annoyed with that book, yet then I remembered teenagers really do behave that way, so it was more or less a good reminder not to have children; although I still plan on having a mini-Drummel at some point. I also wizzed through "Half Blood Prince" Read it in 11 consecutive hours, and my theories put faith in Dubledore's trust in Snape.

[identity profile] kcwitch.livejournal.com 2005-08-17 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
i guess you just had to be there...LOL!!
