State of the Monster Report

Yesterday's random poll went well. Serving in heaven barely topped reigning in hell, which was fun. Also, I was the only person who thought it might be better to live on your knees than to die on your feet. My reasoning: as long as I'm living on my knees, there's a better than average chance I can find a way to make the other bastard die on his. I'm pretty patient and resourceful like that.

The rest of yesterday, however, was pretty much a wash. Sinus headache of doom, unexpected nausea, feverbright perception, wobbly on my feet, lack of ability to process things in the right sequence, and so on. The last thing I needed to be doing was teaching a class on ritual. Ha! So that, of course, is exactly what I did. So this post is by way of apology to the students. [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants held the class together pretty well, but I was No Help. Feh.

On the upside, I'm feeling much better today. [livejournal.com profile] mesniu left me a very entertaining message last night about going to Gnostic Mass tonight. I wish I could go, but I'm already double-booked. (Sadness!) (Actually, I'm feeling a little manic today. Massive changes in input can do that to me.)

How are you lot?

It's the little things.

I have discovered the location and nature of the thing that has been beeping in my office every few hours for the last week. Each time it would go off, it would make *almost* enough sad beeping noises to let me locate it, but not quite. But now, I have discovered it, a mostly-dead pager waiting to be returned to the Big Pager Company In The Sky for refurbishment. And lo, I did pull it out, and I did remove its batteries, and it shall beep no more. Bwa ha ha.
