Adventures!

As it turns out, kittenpants and triadruid have directed me to "have adventures" while they are on their honeymoon. And while I don't take direction well all of the time, I do take direction well some of the time. Hence, it is my intent to have adventures.

In that spirit, I went with kcwitch, opaljax, and druidevo to Karaoke night last night at Sammy's. Sammy's, as it turns out, is a little hole-in-the-wall of a place in KCK. I asked kcwitch "Is that a gay bar or a straight bar?". "Er...,"she said, "it's a witch bar." And so it was. Little bitty neighborhood bar owned by pagans, covered in witchy kitsch. They do karaoke on Friday nights, apparently, and kcwitch is a regular.

It was hellaciously stupid, but also inexplicably fun. I may well go back. opaljax sang a dirty song about looking in people's windows, which was fun, and she was later crowned "Queen of Karaoke", which she was embarrassed by.

Following this excursion, I got up this morning to go to Ritual for Business, and like a complete and total assmonkey, volunteered to manage Winter Bazaar. But that's another adventure, for another day.

As for your other adventure, I'll see you a winter Bazaar and raise you a treasurer (sp?) when it becomes open.

Ahh, Sammy's. Back in my day, the 80's, Sammy's was a fence and a jock bar and a neighborhood joint and just a whole lot of fun. It's nice to hear that it has found a new incarnation.

The owners of Sammy's are very dear and good friends of mine and i love to spend time up there with them just hanging out. well, when i'm not working. maybe i'll see you up there sometime...

me too. i love joni to pieces and try to get up there most friday's that i can. that seems to be the only way to get to hang with her.

I know!! She is the busiest person I have ever met! Unfortunately I am also very busy and our schedules conflict more often than they allow us to see each other. Maybe we'll run into each other up there one Friday?

sure...i will not be there this friday as i am going to GGG but am planning to be there the 24th and every friday night i can make it.

Sadly, I'm working every day, so my adventures have a pretty tight geographical limit at the moment. If I should ever get round to Pittsburgh, though, I'll look you up.

maybe next time we head up there for one of those dreaded family things you can tag along. we have the room in the van, that's for sure. one day we'd love to go to pennsic though.
