Friday Five

1. List five things you'd like to accomplish by the end of the year.
- Finish my 50 books for [livejournal.com profile] 50bookchallenge
- Return to regular magical practice and record-keeping
- Fix Asmodeus (the car) so that he will stop making that odd flappy noise
- Build a new altar
- Deal with the stuff I need to file at home

2. List five people you've lost contact with that you'd like to hear from again.
- Lucas (college-friend who disappeared on me)
- Kryn (non-gender-specific brother and erstwhile ex-girlfriend)
- STara and Pegasus (HPS and HP ... not that I've entirely lost contact with them, but I could stand to talk to them more often than I do)
- Summer (cousin)
- Dana (best friend from high school)

3. List five things you'd like to learn how to do.
- Speak Welsh
- Brew beer
- Sew worth a damn
- Cook worth a damn
- Shut up when necessary

4. List five things you'd do if you won the lottery (no limit).
- Pay off all my debt
- Buy a hybrid car and put Asmodeus out to pasture
- Travel around until I got tired of it
- Establish a scholarship fund with bizarre qualifications for recipients
- Give extravagant gifts at random

5. List five things you do that help you relax.
- Read
- Do yoga-like floor gymnastics
- Bake cookies
- Indulge in meaningless debate and exploration of extremely unlikely hypothetical situations
- Appreciate coffee

You are able to keep things clean. (Well, the car was Eric's fault ;-) So brewing beer should be easy enough for you.

Brewing beer takes less effort than making an Ashiko, and you do not have to wake up before the crack of noon to do it.

Get malt & yeast from B&B,
heat up water/malt mixture, let it cool, (this pasteurizes it)
add yeast, put into bucket/bottle with a simple airlock. (starts fermentation)
wait a few days. (Kreb's Cycle - Sugar to Alcohol, Botany 101)
Drink flat, or mix a little sugar in and bottle for a week.

You can make 3 cases of any ale for about $13-$15. Whee!

Yeah, and if the world were just and equitable, some one or two of you drum kids would wash it for me... *opts not to hold breath*

I was going to dust it, but then KP drew all the cool little logos on it and I am not one to destroy works of art.

Your appreciation of the art world is duly noted. You need not fear in any case, for behold, my list of "People to Speak About Concerning the Car Situation" begins with Mr. Simpson.
