How compatible are you and your friends?

Celtic
You're Celtic! Your people dwell on the wild isle
of Britain, and live at one with nature. Being
a lover of nature doesn't make you a pansy
though, and you certainly gave the Romans a run
for their money. In fact, you're people are one
of the only two cultures of Europe to never be
conquered by the Romans. You should be proud.

And, the month meme, from [livejournal.com profile] kcwitch, who has the rest of the months in her post on it.

AUGUST:
Loves to joke. Attractive.(So I'm told.) Suave and caring. Brave and fearless. Firm and has leadership qualities. Knows how to console others. Too generous and egoistic. (That's a bitch of a combo, but true.) Takes high pride of oneself. Thirsty for praises. (Hell, I don't even know how to take a compliment.) Extraordinary spirit. Easily angered. Angry when provoked.(But you have to really try.) Easily jealous. Observant. Careful and cautious. Thinks quickly. Independent thoughts. Loves to lead and to be led. (Can you say "switch"?) Loves to dream. Talented in the arts, music and defense. (Unless you count "not giving a crap" as defense...I'm quite good at that.) Sensitive but not petty. Poor resistance against illnesses. Learns to relax. Hasty and trusty. Romantic. Loving and caring. (Workin' on it, okay?) Loves to make friends.

Hehe! *G*

You should have told me who you were. I've just spent the last few days figuring out that I actually know you in real time. *hugs*

How've you been?

I've been sneaky, apparently. :)
Actually, I'm doing really well these days - how are you and your lovely wife? (and is she on as well, btw? I only discovered that you were when you posted to [livejournal.com profile] hobbitblue about snagging her icon... I was like "Hey - I know a flute-playing kreegor!")

Hehe A Native American Flute playing Klingon. Who would have tunk it? *G*

Nope I'm the only one of us with a LJ account. She does all her ranting the old fashion way she writes in a book *gasp* *wink*

I didn't know you lived with other people. Is it better then living alone?

By the way We (Kel and I) host half the public rituals (cross quarter rituals) at Cressent Springs. Let me know if you would be intreseted in comming some time and I'll get you the info.

Look forward to seeing you again. Take care and Blessed Be.

Well, I figured there couldn't be too many folk who fit that description :)

Well, last time I saw you guys I was still living by myself in the apartment. I moved in with these kids in June - I'm living in the basement of their house in south KCMO. I'm totally digging on the whole living situation thing. I mean, there is definite virtue in living alone, but I'm much happier to be where I am.

Totally - do you guys do them day of, or weekend of, or what? If I have the time to be able to get out there, I'd love to go. Let me know when and what :)

"do you guys do them day of, or weekend of, or what?"

How compatible are you and your stupid net friends? (http://similarminds.com/search/)

Also, I'm nordic. BWAHAH!

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2003-11-12 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. The Vikings. Just remember, it's rape and pillage, then burn.

What does your new journal title mean, btw?

[identity profile] damonite.livejournal.com 2003-11-12 08:50 am (UTC)(link)
Raping and pillaging isn't as much fun as burning. Plus, fire is a great backlight for the rape and plunder.

As for the title, you know when you're searching for a web page, and it comes up with a blank page and the error saying there's no such page or whatever. I thought it kind of amusing that if you'd minimized the window w/ my journal or had it covered, the task bar would look like the page hadn't been found. Basically I'm a huge dork.

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2003-11-12 08:54 am (UTC)(link)
Apologies - I was trying to do too many things at once and asked the wrong question. What I really meant to ask about was your name - "Amor et melle et felle est fecundissimus."

[identity profile] damonite.livejournal.com 2003-11-12 08:57 am (UTC)(link)
OOOOOh. Haha, *THAT* Journal name. It means, "Love is rich with both honey and venom." It's from Plautus' Cistellaria.

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2003-11-12 09:39 am (UTC)(link)
Nice quote. I knew 'love' and 'honey', but unfortunately Latin really isn't in my skill set. Must do something about that sometime. *Adds to list*

[identity profile] damonite.livejournal.com 2003-11-12 09:43 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I love Latin. It's one of the only two methods of speach I find acceptable in trying to sound mystical or like I'm ensorcelling people. The other, of course, being tongues emulating the sound of human speech played backwards. That's pretty eerie and it works well for the effect. You know, when I need to pretend to ensorcell people.

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2003-11-12 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, of all the people I know in this world, you're probably in the top five of "People I think probably pretend to ensorcell other people on a fairly regular basis".

[identity profile] damonite.livejournal.com 2003-11-12 10:00 am (UTC)(link)
Hey! Just because a man watches the Craft now and then and reads a lot of books about magic and spell craft doesn't mean he's out enchanting the populace. Although you'd be surprised what happens when you try to actually discuss such things. You get years and years of people e-mailing you for love spells.

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2003-11-12 10:09 am (UTC)(link)
Hm... no, I have no idea what that's like at all :)
Neither have I sent hundreds of replies essentially bearing the message "If you can't figure it out yourself, do you really need to be doing it?" or "Oh, so you're a seeker then? Well, seek, then, for the love of mike!"

[identity profile] damonite.livejournal.com 2003-11-12 10:15 am (UTC)(link)
Seriouslar, the last thing people who can't get a date is an blindly loyal lover. Heheh. Perhaps I'm just bitter. ;) I like that bit about the seeker though. Good times.

Actually, I can agree with this. But then we already saw how many marauders showed up in the A-Z cultures list.

Re: Burn, then rape and pillage

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2003-11-12 11:18 am (UTC)(link)
It does lend a certain sense of urgency to the raping and pillaging when the city's on fire, no doubt.
