Wooooooo! I am teh spooky. :)

Which Goddess lurks in your soul?

Hecate

You hold more power in your little finger than most do in their entire being! Hecate is perhaps the most selective of all deities who inhabit the souls of mortals. Being the goddess of the crossroads, Cosmic Knowledge, and of course witches and magic she can’t be bothered by residing in the souls of the mundane. She often chooses those who practice the craft of the old ways and those who harbor deep mystical secrets that must be kept close. Your soul is old, perhaps having been present at the birth of the cosmos in some form or another. Your ability to comprehend the necessity of death and it’s beauty have awakened a connection to the underworld, where Hecate has been known to reign and you relish this otherworldly bond. Darkness suits you well, as many of the best secrets of the cosmos can be found there.

This is amusing for precisely two reasons:

1) Earth is actually my weakest element.

2) If I ever have a daughter, I'm leaning pretty heavily toward 'Persephone' as a name.

Which Goddess lurks in your soul?

Demeter

You are a true earth warrior! Demeter is the Greek Goddess of the fields, grain and harvest and inhabits those souls who long to be a part of the green. You have a special connection with plants and care deeply for the Earth. You tend to be motherly and protective of those that are in your care and are not above severe aggression when one of your charges is harmed or threatened.

Athena. I wince a little, but few are ultimately surprised.

ETA: And the results image shows her in the Hellenizing equivalent of a chainmail bikini. I'm kind of sad now.

It must be broken. It said I have Aphrodite in my soul, but the only thing I marked that was even remotely Aphroditish was that I look good in red.

Fun quiz ...

Which Goddess lurks in your soul?

Nyx

A child of the darkness you are! Nyx is the Greek Goddess of the Night and inhabits those souls who desire darkness. Not necessarily an evil or good person, you simply desire to surround yourself in all things mystical that inhabit the night time landscape. A fascination with the stars and celestial bodies also tends to accompany those whom Nyx has taken up residence in. Embrace the darkness baby because it’s already embraced you!

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2008-05-08 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
See, that's the thing. I would like to know, but I don't want to be locked into having to do anything about it. I'm a bum like that.

I did get your email, and I am still wrapping my brain around it. The 'hamster wheel' image was particularly relevant. Yeesh.

oh i know, because once you've gone thru the expense of havign your head read, there's pressure about escalating the relationship. i have friends that despiet an interest in lwa/orisas don't want to delve too far in, because there are so many prohibitions and proscriptiosn (don't eat this, don't do that) with dire conseqeucnes for not complying.

generally i'm not down with the whole "you've lost your agency and poer to make decisiosn for your self" peice. that;s why i'm trying to deepen my bonds with the orisas on my own, without Professional Help.

i'm glad the reading got thru. love you!
