Who knew?

The receptionist's soundtrack today is a tape recording of Asterix the Gladiator.

The reader is a dry-sounding British fellow, so I can't make out all the words from where i'm sitting. Somehow, though, the Asterix stories are much funnier now than they were when I was a kid. Oh yeah. Context. That's why. Vitalstatistix just said "...and remember, we have nothing to fear, but the sky falling on our heads!"

Speaking of the sky falling on our heads, it's snowing. Yesterday, 63 degrees, today, snow. Seriously, Midwest. Get an ocean.

EDIT: In other news, did you know they made a live-action Asterix film? Yeah. Me neither.

FURTHER EDIT: Good gods. Two of them.

Asterix is much better when one's older. Am re-reading some in French. Groovy.
