Life is good.

Today I:

  • Slept in until noon in my checkerboard footie pajamas. Laugh if you dare.
  • Read half of Elantris, and found confidence that Mr. Sanderson can finish up Wheel of Time in a satisfactory manner. (He uses some of Jordan's devices anyway, it should be a pretty good match.)
  • Had an evil and tasty lunch with [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants.
  • Engaged in a True Geek Adventure. Per discussion with [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants, a True Geek Adventure should involve trying to make technology do things it is not supposed to do, and may in fact be illegal. Bonus points if the goal somehow involves porn.
  • Got some amazingly dirty e-mail. No, you can't read it.
  • Started the two chapters of EiR material I've been putting off forever. (Those would be Ritualizing Myth and Altered States in Ritual, for those playing along at home.)
  • Made a plan for several potential workshops for the Imbolc thing. They are not particularly PaganSexy, but should be quality work and useful, so I'm calling it good.
  • Am going over to [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants' dad's house to eat vast quantities of crab legs. This is a much-beloved holiday tradition, oh yes.

And tomorrow, I have the day off again! And [livejournal.com profile] triadruid is off! And we might go see Sweeney Todd! And we might order computer parts for [livejournal.com profile] triadruid's new build! I think that hits my daily exclamation point quota, but, really, I'm so delighted. :)

Sounds delightful. What constitutes and evil and tasty lunch?

[identity profile] fionnabhar.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
My guess is that it involves pho. That, or bread.

*ducks and runs*

[identity profile] kenllama.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
mmm... pho =)

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
Mmmmmmmmmm pho. I wish it had been pho. Alas.

Chick-Fil-A. They're actually not that evil as regards the way we eat, they're just... corporately evil. The kids' meals used to come with Focus on the Family tracts, and so on.

Focus on Family tracts!!!! Whaaattt? I'm glad we never got any of those in our kids meals! I *love* chick-fil-a soup. :)

checkerboard footie pajamas. Laugh if you dare.

Laugh...envious!

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
They're effing warm, hey.

[identity profile] demimortal.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
one of the reasons I am envious!

They are probably comfortable also.

Where did you get footie pjs in grown up sizes?? I am so jealous!

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I actually don't remember. It might have been Target. I've had them for years. I have two pair of 2-piece footies that I bought somewhere, and a onesie footie that [livejournal.com profile] saffronhare gave me for Yule a few years ago. I'm always on the lookout for new ones though. The ones I have now are vastly too big for me.

[identity profile] microwench.livejournal.com 2007-12-26 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
If you run across any more, particularly in larger sized (2x in womens) let me know? I would love a pair, as they are fun and cute, and my feet get hella cold nowadays.
