Oh yeah. I spent all morning in a training session designed to tell direct care staff working with mentally retarded and developmentally disabled people not to hit, steal from, rape, or refuse to feed their consumers. This was followed by a thirty minute session on how to run the training because later in life, I'm going to have to stand up and tell people not to beat, rob, rape, or refuse to feed the consumers.
On the upside, the training facility is really close to the River Market, which empowered me to stop by Hien Vuong and pick up some soup for lunch. They serve a thin broth with noodles, spices, a few onions and just about enough meat to flavor the soup, and give you heaping piles of fresh limes, peppers, basil, mint, parsley and some other green stuff I can't identify, to add in. Which is yummy. Also, there is so much soup that I can't possibly eat it all in one day, and sometimes not in two days. And it's always better the second day. Especially considering the peppers -- day one, pretty spicy, day two, it's like eating napalm.
Also, on my way to River Market, I was riding behind a police car, which had something that looked suspiciously like a little flogger hanging from the rear-view mirror. I haven't quite worked out what to think about that, yet.

And people think Pagans are uncivilized....
BTW I honor you for the work you do...
Hmmmm, napalm!
napalm
Tastes like... victory.

Question of the day
(Your training session sounds opposite that of a friend who's a therapist for mentally ill inmates.)
