I've seen my future. It involves microprocessors.

In order to complete the set of recent horrible thought processes involving robots, I had a dream on Saturday night that involved wiring my brain into an android body. Really, even on further analysis, I think this would be the Best Thing Ever™. I'm all about the interchangeable parts. So seriously, should science advance to this point in my lifetime, I will be among the first to sign up.

At the moment, I'd like to interchange the parts that make up my shoulders. I don't really know how one can injure oneself sleeping, but I guess I'm just specially talented. Mom always said I was.

In other sleeping/dreaming news, I somehow managed not to dream about having sex with the Archangels in any configuration, no thanks to [livejournal.com profile] saffronhare. Welcome back to the priesthood, honey, but if you would be so kind, try not to get any of that on me. Thanks, love you, bye.

If I get wired into an android I want it to be Rommy, girl is hot!

[identity profile] beccak1961.livejournal.com 2005-09-19 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course, if I were to wake up in Rommy's body I wouldn't be able to stop touching myself long enough to get anything done, so maybe I should chose data instead... him I could go without touching foever.

Just when you thought we were out of trainwreck thoughts about robots....

I don't think I know Rommy... which is apparently my loss. I was something more like Maria (I think) from Metropolis.

I'm all classical and stuff.

This is also the show that Tyre Anastassi (played by the ever delicious Keith Hamilton cobb)

If you watch sg-1, Lexa Doig is playing the new DR. They need to put her back in leather though!

Dude. That's a robot? That ain't right.
I don't so much do the tv thing (no cable), so I've missed everything that's happened in sci-fi for the last, oh, say, four years. I do try to drag out to the movies, though.

She's an AI. She is also the ship itself, the Andromeda Descending.
I know way too much about this stuff lol!

Andromeda

I thought it was Andromeda Ascendent.

They were more optimistic when the ship was named, ya see....

Ahh, you're right, that's what I get for not looking stuff up when I have way too much on my brain (refugee ya know lol)

She's a robot? I always thought she was a hologram, but I only saw about 2.3 episodes.... mostly involving the Magog guy, who I thought was kinda cool.

She's an AI, but her body is real...when she's a hologram she's representing the ship. As an AI she became sort of independent and split off from the ship sort of.

You know, Princess Sticky couldn't wait to finish her breakfast so she could go build robots out of Legos this morning. What are you teaching that child?

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2005-09-19 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Nuthin. I don't never teach nobody nuthin.

I actually saw something on PBS not too long ago that said they would have the technology to transfer our consciousnesses (is that a word, lol) into computers within the next 50 years or so. It's an interesting thought, anyway...
